Academic/University
In 2001 we introduced three new HyperSizer® products that focus on different levels of structural analysis and optimization. They are in increasing complexity:
- Composite laminates (HyperSizer Material Manager™)
- Stiffened panels ( HyperSizer Basic™)
- Full structural systems represented with a FEM (HyperSizer Pro™)
- HyperSizer is now actively marketed to universities with substantial academic pricing discounts available.
Academic Uses:
- Teaching tool
- Class project tool
- Class assignment
- Thesis support
- Integration with research software
A fundamental approach, which emphasizes Free Body Diagram (FBD) equilibrium of applied forces and resulting strain compatibility, is being used throughout the products. General edge boundary conditions of either fixed, free, load, or enforced displacement provide a consistent approach that applies to standalone panel/beam analyses and for coupling with FEA. It is believed that a GUI and problem setup process that presents these basic principles will make HyperSizer conducive as a teaching and research tool.
Academic Benefits:
- Instantaneous "what-if" scenarios
- Highly interactive GUI makes learning easy
- Native on Windows 2000/NT/98 makes HyperSizer accessible to all students (simple and safe automated install process)
- All products include an integrated material database with an open relational database schema providing for general customization and a means for students and faculty to conveniently add-on or plug-in their other software
Pricing:
Academic-priced software are full-version products. The only difference is the price. See below for full qualification details. E-mail us for pricing.
